September  Small game and Archery deer seasons open.

Join us for the  annual Avon Hills Rendezvous and Black Powder Shoot. South of Avon. See the Black Powder Shoot page. Typically the first full weekend in October.

Fall activities and seasons are in full swing: yard work, splitting and stacking firewood, hunting (deer, grouse, squirrel, rabbit), thinking about the snow… this is the best time of the year.

March: Maple trees have been tapped in preparation for the sap run. It’s time to make  maple syrup! Some weather cooperation needed.

Mid April MN wild turkey season opens. The first spring ephemerals(wildflowers) pop up.
